Software Updates
Latest Release 4.1.1 (1/7/2022)
Dispatch customers should update to version 4.1.1 as soon as possible to resolve issues with the Keystone Map.

Payroll customers should update to version 4.1 or higher before e-filing/printing 1095 and W-2 forms and before running your first payroll for 2022.
Accounts Payable customers should update to version 4.1 or higher before e-filing/printing 1099 forms.
Security Alerts
log4j vulnerability
By now you or your IT people have heard about the "log4j" security vulnerability (CVE-2021-44228 https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2021-44228).
None of GivenHansco's in-house software makes use of the "log4j" logging library, and are therefore not affected by this vulnerability.
We do make use of several third-party libraries and services that are outside the scope of our control. We are working with these vendors to determine whether they are vulnerable and if so what mitigations they are putting in place. We will post further information here as it becomes available to us.
2021 Year End
We are continuously reviewing and updating for 2021 Tax Filing and 2022 taxes! Please check back for latest news and updates!!! All tax reporting and tax updates will require Keystone 4.1 or higher.
A/P Year End Changes
Keystone 4.1 (now available) supports Federal and State E-Filing of 1099 forms through our third party partner.
Payroll Year End Changes
Before ordering any Payroll tax forms consider using our 3rd party provider for printing as well as for all E-Filing.
Keystone 4.0 is here!
Our newest release of Keystone, version 4.0 is now available. A few of the many new features include:
- Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022 support
- Truck Routing on Dispatch Map
- Parent Jobs
- Cloud Backup
- Ability to restore user's custom grid settings
In order to ensure a smooth update to your existing system, here are a few items to help you prepare for this version.
Windows Versions
Because Keystone 4.0 is based on newer software technology, the requirements for Windows have been updated. Here are the supported versions of Windows for client/standalone PCs:
- Windows 8.1
- Windows 10
- Windows 11
- NOTE: Windows 10 S is NOT supported.
- NOTE: Windows for ARM is NOT supported.
Here are the supported versions of Windows for servers:
- Windows Server 2012
- Windows Server 2012 R2
- Windows Server 2016
- Windows Server 2019
- Windows Server version 20H2
- Windows Server 2022
- NOTE: Windows Server Essentials (formerly Small Business Server) is NOT supported.
In ALL of the above cases, you should always have the latest updates installed (especially security updates.)
Please contact your IT vendor if you need assistance with updating Windows operating systems.
Note that Microsoft discontinued all support (including security updates) for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 as of January 14, 2020.
If any of your PCs are still running Windows 7 and/or Windows Server 2008 you should contact your IT vendor as soon as possible to get these PCs upgraded to the latest Windows versions so that you will continue to receive security updates from Microsoft.
Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime
For Dispatch customers, you will need to ensure that the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is installed on each dispatch workstation (or on the Remote Desktop server for Remote Desktop users) that requires map functionality.

InterBase
The supported versions of InterBase are as follows:
- InterBase XE with Update 5 (build 10.0.5.595) [Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 only]
- InterBase XE3 with Update 4 Hotfix 4 (build 11.0.4.828) [Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 only]
- InterBase XE7 with Update 7 (build 12.0.7.384)
- InterBase 2017 with Update 3 (build 13.3.0.328)
